Quality Gear Grinding, Hobbing & Shaping Source

Rj Link’s manufacturing capabilities, ranging from single piece prototype development to volume precision machining, has been catching the attention of others in the industry.  In addition to offering quick turn around on quotes, Rj Link has made some investments in machinery over the past 1 1/2 years to help with reducing lead times as well.

GEAR GRINDING:

Rj Link has been a go to provider for many companies needing gear grinding. Rj Link is able to grind up to an AGMA Class 12 gear, and up to a 15.74″ diameter.

HOBBING:

In addition to the gear grinding capabilities, over the past 1 1/2 years, Rj Link has made some other investments to increase manufacturing capabilities.  One of which is those investments includes a new Gleason P600/800 Hobbing Machine.  The machine gives Rj Link hobbing capabilities up to 33.4″ diam., 2.5 DP, stock SAE & metric hobs.  The P Series is the benchmark for universal gear manufacturing – it runs flawlessly in job shops, as well as having different automation concepts for short load and unload times.

SHAPING:

Another investment that Rj Link made was with the purchase of a Bourn & Koch remanufactured Fellows 36-6 CNC  Gear Shaper, with a Fanuc CNC control cutter head relieving 30-100 strokes per minute.  The remanufactured 36-6 features a Fanuc CNC control with numerous new features and technologies, including legendary mechanical gear shaper technology combined with today’s tool system advancements.
